The way they are…

Violence is part of their life.

Yes to peace, no to guns.

But it is just natural to the community that at the age of 15 or less, the male usually should have a gun.

 They are craving for peace. They want to end these hostilities they are confronted with.

Most likely, she is the most affected.

She has big dream for her son.

 His time will just end soon, but he still thinking of what would be the life he can give and share to the new generation.

This is the way they are.

The way will be is still on their hands.

Let’s pray for them. They need us.

My Journey

November 13, 2012

After an hour and 30 minutes of travel from Cotabato City, I arrived in Dapiawan, Datu Saudi, Maguindanao.

The simplicity of the place makes me realize how I am going to deal with people there.

This is how they live and how they are trying to survive.

They need to adapt on the calamities they usually encounter every now and then.

As much as they can, they strive hard to make a living.

 

Life seemed to be difficult for them. They don’t want this but they have no choice.

The road to their dreams is lasting peace here in Mindanao.
